The Saluki Cares Emergency Fund was created, in conjunction
with the SIU Alumni Association and SIU Foundation, to assist Southern Illinois
University Carbondale students with an unforeseen financial emergency or
catastrophic event which prevent them from continuing their education at SIU.
Please explain, in detail, the reasons why the Saluki Cares
Emergency Funds are needed and what the funds will be used for. Priority will
be given to students whose tenure at Southern Illinois University Carbondale
may be at risk because of unexpected expenses. You may continue your
explanation on a separate sheet of paper if needed. Please attach copies of all
available documentation. Documentation should include current copies of bills,
receipts, legal notices, etc.

In order to be eligible for the Saluki Cares Emergency Fund,
you must complete all of the information in this application.
The number of students who can be served by the Saluki Cares Emergency Fund is subject to the availability of funds. The fund must be sustained by continual contributions from alumni, parents, faculty, students, staff and friends of the University.
